What will I be?

I have started this project. I don't know what it will be yet. I have done a texture using the rolling mill and burlap. The texture that was created was very exciting for me. I have never used it before now, and I loved the results. The other element of the piece is a labadoriate that will be bezel set. And I still haven't decided if these will go together and what they will be. A ring, a necklace, or a bracelet or something else. The possibilities are endless.

Arts Worcester

This fall Steve and I are having a two person show at the The Aurora Gallery at Arts Worcester in Worcester MA. This is very exciting news. Steve and I are very excited about this. The floor space is great for Steves work which can be seen at Steve Butler Furniture. The wall space has wonderful architectural details that will work nicely with my work. I am very excited about this. And who better to have a show with then my husband.

All over

The top photo shows the kids tearing it all down. At the end of the program the kids have to tear it all down and throw it away. I think that the parents had a bigger problem with that then the kids. They ran head long into it and was ripping down We had our studio cleaning up in record time 10 minutes, crazy!
The second photo is of our whole group I got to work with Tom Grady and it was great. Thank you Tom! You all made my first Art State a great one.
The bottom photo is of me behind my display. During Art All State they hold a exhibition of all the artists. It was a great show. I loved seeing what everyone else does. Again Thank you to everyone.

Art All State end of day 2

What a finish. The whole thing looks incredible, and the other studios did great things as well. What these kids came up with astounds me. The creativity and thought at such a young age.

Art All State Day 2

What these kids is amazing!! They had great use of space and took all the individual parts to create one. They worked together seamlessly and would ask each other questions of what they thought. It was great to see.

Art All State Day 1

I had a blast being an artist mentor of the 25th Art All State. It was amazing. What these kids did in two days was incredible. The above pictures are from day one. They worked so well together and as individuals. The focus they had I wished I had when I was that age. I am in awe of the program and the kids. Thank you Worcester Art Museum for doing this.
