These are the most perfect everyday earring. I love them! They are on the smaller side maybe a 1/4 inch wide and a 1/2 inch long. But don't quote me on the size. They are made of sterling silver and are hollow form. These ones have a beautiful black pearl that you either dress up or down. The pattern on them will do with anything. I have a friend that wears these almost everyday.They are light and comfortable, you almost forget that you are wearing them. And the best part they are under $100.00!! Fabulous!

Grey Ring

This is a great ring that I have just finished. The stone is very large and it has this incredible grey colour. It goes from a light grey in the center to a dark grey to the outer edges. In the photos the colour does not come out well. I have set it in a sterling silver bezel setting. The ring shank was done with my line cutout. I love this ring. My Grandfather gave me the stone when I was a young girl. This is a very comfortable to wear even for it large size.

Valentines Day is coming

Valentines day is fast approaching. It is one of my all time favorite holidays. A whole day dedicated to love, how could one not love it. I know there are people who do not, but it is about love, no matter how you celebrate it it will always be my favorite. There are all types of love. Necklaces and Trunk Show this Weekend

First lets talk about the necklaces. The top piece is from my pebble and puddles collection. It has two labradorite then two oval hollow form that have been giving a high polish along with the main pendant. It hangs from a a black rubber cord that give it this great contrast. I love this piece!!

The bottom piece is a from my recycled collection. I also love this piece it has a big pendant with a rutilated quartz that has been bezel set. It hands from white fresh water pearls. I love using pearls I think that pearls can be very contemporary, it gives piece a sense of charm and elegance in a very modern way. I wear pearls often, even with jeans.

Bench Chaos, earrings and a necklace

What a great day in the studio. My bench was full chaos which I love, it always means lots of projects in the works. Today I created three pairs of earrings and one necklace. The earrings are all sterling silver hollow form. Two are cute little stud earrings and the other is a great dangle. The necklace is a recycled sterling silver piece with a black fresh water pearl, it hangs on a 16 inch black rubber cord. They are all stunning. They will at the trunk show coming up. Snow

For the first time this winter we got some snow. The studio looks great with all the snow and Quinn looks very comfortable in the in the chair. He is taking a short break from playing. It is nice to finally have some snow. Quinn loves it. I personally don't mind not having snow but it wouldn't be winter in New England without it.

Smokey Quartz Necklace

This is a great new necklace that I finished yesterday. It is a bezel set smokey quartz and a hollow from. You can not see the amazing texture in the picture, it was created using the rolling mill and it is a very slight wave pattern. It hangs on a 16 inch rubber cord. It is amazing on! It looks great not only with a pair of jeans and a tee shirt but it would looks amazing dressed up for a night out on the town.

A new hammer

Yesterday I got a new hammer. We had a nice morning out and about in the nice and unseasonably warm weather and at a flea market found this great vintage hammer for only a few dollars. I could not resit it. It is a fabulous hammer. I am excited to use this week.

Black Onyx Necklace

This is a fabulous necklace that I have finally finished. It is beautiful. The top part is a hollow form out of sterling silver with my trademark cutout lines, that have been oxidized. The bottom stone is a huge black onyx that has been bezel set. It hangs from a think snake chain. I gave the top hollow form a brushed finish to contrast with the high shine of the black onyx. An amazing necklace.

Earrings and Bench

The above earrings are already on there way to New Jersey. They have my favorite texture created using vintage letter and number stamp. The bottom photo is of bench and a project that I am working on. It nice to finally have my energy back. After being sick it took me a while to be able to work a full day. I am surprised on much it took out of me.

It is so nice to be back in the studio working. I have been sick and unable to work for the last two weeks. So back to work finally. The above image is a pair of earrings that I am working on. The bottom image is this great new chair that Steve got for me from a friend. It is perfect. And the seat open up for added storage! Wonderful. More updates soon.

Bangles!! I love them. I wear these ones everyday. I have worn bangles everyday for the last ten years. These ones are ones that I made using all of my hammers. So much fun. This is also a sample of the ones that we will be making in the workshop that I will be teaching at Snow Farm in the spring.

Moon Earrings 2

These are the second moon earrings that I have made. The photo does no justice to them at all. The top silver circle is oxidized to bring out the texture, which I think looks like moon craters. Then there is the middle bead of labadorite and the bottom in hammer quartz. These are great earring that are not too long, really they are the perfect length. They are light to wear and the blue/grey color of the labadorite are great with any outfit.

This is morning I was at the Post Road Art Center dropping off some work. They are great place, they frame your art work and also have supplies(not an easy thing to find these days) and they have a great collection of work from all mediums. Pebbles and puddles Earrings

Here are the finished pebbles and puddles earrings. I am shipping these off in the morning. These earrings came out amazing. They have a fabulous high polish and really the perfect pair, not only are perfect with your little black dress but they will look great with a pair of jeans. They have such a high polish you can see me taking the photo in them. So funny. It took me three tries to get these perfect. Now have all these pebbles and puddles pieces that do not match. Maybe they will become a bracelet or necklaces.

This is a fabulous ring. It is from my pebbles and puddles line. It is super light and comfortable, not only does it have the great texture and interest from the "pebbles" but the "puddle" is a high polish and almost mirror like. This is a great statement ring for the everyday. One should have something like this in their collection.

Baby Rattle

This is a beautiful sterling silver baby rattle. My good friend Judy Neugebauer made for Quinn when he was born. It has a fresh water pearl on the end and this swirl design on the rattle part. I had just found the other day as we have been unpacking more boxes. I gave it a quick polish and wanted to share it with everyone. Thank you again Judy.

My studio

I had to share these photo's of my studio. The way the sun lights up the back, the trees with the vibrant yellow leafs. It looked so inviting that I had to share with all of you. And today is an abnormally warm day for November mid sixty's, and we already had one snow storm. Such crazy weather. I hope that you are enjoying the beautiful fall day.

A slow week

It has been a slow week. I have been in the studio and working on the computer this week. Fall has been beautiful, it is one of my favorite seasons. The colours and the raining down of leafs, and the shadow that they create through the sun. And then there is when the leafs dance across a parking lot in what looks like a little tornado. But atlas it coming to an end. Here is Massachusetts we had our first taste of winter last night and this morning. Snow falling and cars covered in ice this morning.

This is a fabulous new necklace. The stone is black and white(not easily seen in photos) it is bezel set and the bottom piece is a hollow form. It has a beautiful texture created using my vintage stamps. I have oxidized it to bring it out. It hangs from a 16 inch snake chain. It sits on the most perfect spot on the neckline.

Quartz earrings

I love these earrings. They have hand made ear hooks that are squared. The top piece is sterling silver that has been roller printed on both sides, and then oxidized to bring out the texture. And the stone is a hand hammered quartz. I think that these are spectacular earrings. They remind me of the moon. They are simple and elegant. They will go with whatever event you go to or outfit you wear. These are a must have. And also a great gift to give, anyone would love these, you can do no wrong with these. The show

The top photo is my friend Lisa who was a great help to me last night. Thank you so much Lisa, you were amazing. And the bottom photo is me behind my display.
It was held in factory that makes wire fencing very interesting and it made for a great back drop. The factory was in one of the many old mill/factory buildings that are all over the area. I love them I think that they are beautiful.
It was a good turn out for bad weather. Thank you all for stopping by it was a great night.

Setting up

Pearl Necklace

I love this necklace. It is made out three pieces if recycled sculptural silver and beautiful black or peacock fresh water pearls. It is a fantastic piece, it is amazing on. It is one of those necklace that get you noticed. It is very classic and contemporary all at the same time. A piece that should be in everyone's collection.

Necklace with gemstones nuggets

I just finished this necklace. It is rhodolite garnet and hand hammered quartz. The silver is made out of recycled silver and made into this great sculptural focal point. It has a toggle clasp and it sits perfectly on the neck and is very comfortable to wear. I love it, it came out amazing. See it in person on Friday at the Heritage Starlight Celebration (riverdale mill).

Here is Quinn painting at his bench. He loves that he has his own bench in my studio. When we were working on it he kept asking for one. Now he can "work" with me. He seems right at home in the studio. He comes in and turns on his light and gets right to work. So very cute.

Back to work and a bracelet

Here is my bench. It does not have the chaos that is normally does. Give me time though. It is great being in the new studio. Thank you so much Steve, it is amazing. Here is a bracelet that I have been working on that is now finished. It is set with green tourmaline and a dark amethyst. It is really comfortable and sits amazingly on the wrist.

Yesterday Steve and I moved all of my tables and benches. Then we spent the rest of the setting and unpacking my studio. Hooray!!!! I am ready to work. This is so exciting. All that is left to do is install the wood stove. It looks great and it feels great.

Floor of my New Studio

Here is Steve painting the floor of my new studio. He is using a high heat paint. In the far room is were the wood stove is going. And we decided that we would paint the whole floor with it so it would look really good and also it will finding anything that I drop a lot easier. And if I should drop a hot piece of metal the floor will be ok. It looks amazing. Steve did so much work in here for me. We should be moving in through out the week. So exciting. Thank you Steve!!

Studio Doors

These are the doors that Steve made for my future studio. They are beautiful. He made them out of found wood and in the barn style. He reversed the z to make a diamond, it after all will be my studio. I can not wait till they are hung with the other matching door. Thank you.

Raw Rose Quartz

Our friend Jeff Ellis was in PA visiting family, when in his Uncles basement they tripped over this forgotten rose quartz. It is huge. It has some of the most intense colors of pink I have ever seen in a rose quartz. Thank you Jeff and your Uncle. I believe that Jeff said that is uncle had this sitting in his basement for 30 years just waiting. Amazing. I can not wait to find a lapidary artist to cut and polish this into stones for me. So if anyone knows of anyone please email me.

Soon to be Studio

Steve and I, well really mostly Steve. Is converting the shed in our backyard into my studio. It is being fixed up and insulated by Steve using all donated materials. Thank you all. Finally Done

I finally finished this necklace. It seems like I have been working on it forever. It came out amazing. The top hollow form has a very high polish, it acts like a mirror. It's fantastic!! The middle piece that is bezel set is a piece of broken pavement from in front of the studio. And bottom bead is prenhite, it has this great green colour to it. I love this piece. It hangs on thinker 16 inch snake chain. It looks great as it cascades down your neck.

New Necklace - Almost finished

This is necklace is almost done. I need to finish and then put it all together. It is going to be spectacular. The top hollow form is going to have a high polish the middle piece is pavement that is going to be bezel set, the bottom is an lovely prehnite bead. It is going to hang on a thicker snake chain. This is going to be a great necklace. The top piece is a recycled silver piece that I made and the bottom will be bezel set the found stone. I don't remember where I had found the stone, I know that it is from somewhere in the Blackstone valley. It will hang on 16 inch snake chain. All sterling silver.

New Project

This is a new project that I am working on. Thew top piece is going to be a hollow form with a high polish. The middle piece is a piece of the parking lot in front of the studio. And the bottom piece is prehnite. I have not decided how and on what it will hang. It is going to be an amazing necklace. I am very excited. When it is done I will make sure to borrow a camera so I can share the finished necklace.

Getting Married!!!!

Steve asked me to marry him!!! So we are getting married this fall. He went to my parents before he asked me and my mother gave him my great-grandmothers ring to ask me with. The history of this ring is amazing. This ring has belonged to generations of women in my family. First my great grandmother then to my grandmother then to my mother and now it belongs to me. What a history! Steve was adorable when he asked. We are so excited and can not wait. I think that it was amazing that he went to my parents, no one really does that anymore.

Moonstone necklace

Here is a great necklace I made awhile ago. The top stone is a fabulous moonstone. The photo does it no justice, you can not see all the colours in it. The bottom is a hollow form that has the texture of a vintage ribbon. It hangs from a 18 inch snake chain. All sterling silver.
This past week as I am sure most of the country has had it we have had a major heat wave of temps reaching about 100. That said it makes it impossible to work in the studio. And on top of that our camera is no longer working. It will be awhile till we will be able to get a new one.

Doesn't it look nice. I love sitting the chairs (if it is not too hot). And the picnic table it great to work at sometimes. We planted flowers and tomato plants and we our chickens there. It is really nice.

Ah, my studio. The top picture I'm sure that you all know as my bench. I love this bench. Quinn has taken to sitting and "working" when he visits the studio. He wants to learn how to use all the tools, very cute. The bottom picture is of my forming station as I call it. It is wear all the texture happens. Quinn also loves to texture and experiment with all of my hammers. I love being in my studio. I can just be there.

Cleaning your Silver Jewelry

Here is a great recipe to clean your silver jewelry. I have to give credit to Sydney Lynch I get her newsletter and this was in this past months. To find out more about Sydney and her jewelry please check our her website at http://www.sydneylynch.com/
Line a ceramic or glass bowl with aluminum foil.Put a couple of tablespoons of baking soda and a squirt of liquid dish soap in the bowl, nhen add boiling water. Unless your jewelry is severely tarnished it should clean up in a couple minutes. Some cases could take up to 20-30 minutes. Rise well and dry with a towel or hair dryer. Enjoy your freshly cleaned jewelry.

Blue stunner

This is just a stunning necklace. I am in love with the beads. The name of them escapes me now, but they are amazing. They are this magnificent blue that seems to radiate from the inside out. Absolutely spectacular. These photos do it no justice. They are soft to the touch and feel amazing on the neck. It has a toggle clasp, and the pendent is my favorite cut out design with oxidization and of course a hollow form.

Ahhhh!!!! I had the most frustrating day. I have do not have a finished piece to show for today's work. I have three piece that all need to be finished and have some kinks worked out. I have days like these. I feel like I have gotten nothing done. But on the bright side it is a beautiful out and a great start to the long weekend (weather wise).

A Great day and a great ring

Yesterday was a great day. It was warm and sunny, for the first time in what feels likes weeks. I made four perfect pieces yesterday also, a great day. This is a great ring that is a hollow form with an amazing cut out design. The stone is a lab created blue sapphire. It has this amazing dark blue colour.

Prehnite Necklace

This is a fabulous necklace that I finished today. The pendant is a hollow form of sterling silver a cutout design that has been oxidized. The bead are these amazing rough prehnite beads. The photo does not do any justice to the wonderful sea green that seems to come from within. Again this is a stunning necklace. I am really happy with it.

These are my favorite earrings. I wear them most days. I made these years ago. When Steve and I first lived together in New Jersey, the light in the bedroom made this shadow. I loved the shape of it so much that I made these earrings. They are fabulous.

Garnet Necklace

This is a fantastic necklace that I finished yesterday. It has a great pendent and the beads are rhodolite garnets that go all the way around the neck. It is a stunning necklace. With the deep red raspberry color of the stones it can be worn with almost anything.

This is a stunning necklace. I finished it yesterday. I feel like it took me forever (really only two days). The pendent is a hollow form with a cut out and oxidized design. The beads are of hammered quartz and black tourmaline. The back rubber cord on the back for comfort. This is a great piece. It stands out and will go with any outfit. A truly stunning necklace.

These are a pair of amazing earrings that I create. These are my take on art deco. The top piece of the earring is a hollow form with a floral pattern that I had used the rolling mill to create. The stone is black onyx. They are perfect. They are light and have lots of movement.

This is a very fun necklace that I created. It is a hollow form that has circles on it. I love it, I think that this is a great necklace to wear everyday. The stone is a found stone, I can not remember where I picked it up. It hangs on a 16 inch rubber cord. Very fun!

Quartz Necklace

This necklace I created last week. It has a fabulous center of a hollow form with my cut out design and then oxidized. The stones/beads are hammered quartz. I love them. I was so excited when I got them. The necklace is a total of 18 inches. It reminds me of the end of winter, which has finally ended.

This is a fabulous cocktail ring that I made earlier this week. It is a great ring. It so comfortable to wear. It looks great and you can see it across a room without it being to large. It a hollow form and a piece of blue willow plate that was my grandmothers. It is a truly amazing ring.

This is a Pebbles and puddles bracelet that I made yesterday. I am unhappy with it. The band needs to be wider. But it does look great amongst all of my bangles that I wear. Next time I am in the studio I will redo this.

This is a great new necklace that I made this past week. The top is a cutout design to look like pebbles. The blacking piece has been oxidized and the "pebbles" have been giving a high polish. This is a great everyday necklace that is so light that you barely notice that you are wearing it. It hangs on a 16" snake chain. A lovely necklace.

This is a great cuff bracelet that I made this morning. I created it by recycling my scrap silver. I also bezel set an amethyst. It came out so well. I love cuffs, I wear one everyday. I will be listing this on my etsy store soon.

Here is my favorite hammer. I use it all the time. I bought it years and years ago at a flea market. Today when I using it the head came off. And thank to Steve it is even better. He fix right then and the handle is shorter and gives me better control. Thank you Steve.

Spring is almost here

With the sun coming in the windows and lighting up my bench and the draw of these amazing chairs you would think that spring is here. But it had been cold all week, very cold. Steve has fixed and oiled these beautiful chairs that sit in front our studio. They beckons me to sit in them. I love to sit here in the sun when I and taking a break or trying to figure out a piece in my head. They are the most inviting and the most comfortable chairs.
