Soldering

This is me soldering on ear wire to a pair of earring that I made last week. Steve took it without me knowing. It has been very cold here in Massachusetts too cold to even go into the studio. brrrrrrr And we are suppose to get another storm tonight!!!

Here are two great pieces that I made yesterday. The top is a necklace that I made using my scrap silver. the necklace reminds me of a heart.
The earrings are fabulous! I love, love these earrings. They are double hollow forms. The top one is untextured silver with a brush finish. The bottom has a beautiful (and my favorite) texture. It was created by hand using vintage letter and number stamps.

Snow covered studio

The studio was a beautiful site all covered in snow. Thanks dad for plowing. Thanks Steve for taking the pictures.

Nor'easter

Yesterday we had a Nor'easter that dumped about two feet of snow. The top photo was taken during the storm and the bottom one was taken this morning. Both were taken from our house. I find that New England(ma) is so inspiring in the winter. It was a crazy day as are all snow days. No one likes being stuck inside, especially our two year old.

Recycling

This is a great piece that I did today. I recycled my scrap silver to make it. I love the organic shape and texture of it. It has a beautiful star ruby bezel set. The photos do the stone no justice. It has an amazing six pointed star in it that follows and hit all of the stone. Just spectacular. It hangs on a 16 inch black rubber cord with a front closure.

My bench

I love my bench as I am sure that all jewelers do. It is where I become calm and centered. I love how much sun lights up my bench. When I am working and sun warms me I am at peace. It is a great feeling.  

Peridot Ring

This is a fabulous hollow form ring that I made a little while ago. I love this piece, it is bold and simple. it has a lovely peridot that is being hugged by molten silver. Just amazing. It is also surprisingly comfortable to wear.

New Wood Stove

Thanks Dad!!! Dad put in a new and beautiful wood stove at the studio. It looks great and it gives me a little more room.
