One Proud Mama
Yesterday Steve and Quinn came to visit me for lunch. It was a great surprise. Quinn loves to see what his mama is doing and he loves to sit at my bench. It fills my heart to see him so interested in what I do. I am very proud of my little boy.

Ode to Grandma
Grandma has been transferred to a nursing home today, this is my ode to her. This is a rather sad time. After the death of my Grandfather my parents have moved her east. It has been hard for her as she has Alzheimer's. I had the pleasure to look through the portion of her jewelry collection that came east. I didn't realize that she had such a grand love of jewelry. I would even say that she has a passion for it after seeing this small part of her collection. I felt like I was five years old again looking in her box. I am amazed at how eclectic her tastes are. I feel closer to her looking into this intimate part of any women's life, her jewelry box. I have to give some credit to my Grandfather who had given her a large amount of her jewelry to her. I am going to visit her tomorrow for the fist time and I am hoping that she will know me. Once she gets settled into her new home I will bring my amazing partner, Steve and my son, Quinn to meet her. I can not wait.

This past week
This past week I had a great time working. I worked on Thursday and Friday. Two beautiful days. Quinn and Steve visited me for lunch yesterday, it was a very nice time. Quinn loves to visit the studios. He love to play with the tools and explore all the going ons. I did manage to get alot of work done. I have a shipment to send to Gallery 23 this week. I also made new rings, earrings and necklaces. I love them. I gave all of my inventory a good polish.

Mayfair
Today we went to the Worcester Center for Crafts Mayfair. It was great, we saw a lot of fabulous artists. One pictured here is Ashley Vick of Filomena Demarco Jewelry. I thought her work was amazing, I also loved her booth set up. You can see her work at www.filomenademarcojewelry.com We also saw Katey Curtis whose work is also amazing, one of my early jewelry classes was taught by her. It was great to see the Craft Center up and running again. If anyone can make it to the Mayfair tomorrow is the last day. Information about it and other craft center events is located on their website(a link is the right under retail).

Productive
Yesterday was a rather productive day in the studio. It was a beautiful day, nice and warm. It helps to sit in front of three windows when it is a nice day. I made a ring with an opal, and parts for three other rings and four pairs of earrings. Steve and Quinn came to visit me for lunch and it was so nice to see Quinn playing with truck outside the studios.
Layers
Springtime in New England, I love it. It means the sun and the rain and the ever fluctuating temps. Growing up here you learn to love layers. This ring was made over the weekend and the layers it has I find amazing. The photo does it no justice. The first layer has this great texture ( although it didn't show up in the photo), the second is oxidized and the third are these great "bubbles".
