It has been a wonderful month! The weather is finally nice, and I can get in the studio and work without a problem. Not worries about heating it or snow or anything. It is so nice.
The above photo is of me soldering a new project. So exciting!! It will the first in a new series more to come about it latter. The bottom is of all the projects in the works on my bench. It look like I have a lot of work to do. Can not wait to spend more time in there, now that I can easily.
I am excited and inspired when spring comes and the snow is all gone and things start to grow. I am not much of a winter person, it makes me hibernate. Oh well spring is here, and it time to get to work.
More updates to follow. Thanks for reading.
Have a wonder-filled day.

Bird houses
On Sunday we made some bird houses. It was a blast and a great family project. Also a great idea to do on mothers day.
We used left over wood from our fire that we had Saturday night. Quinn and I worked on the roofs, we attached beer caps to color and funk. While Steve worked on putting the bodies of the houses together.
Are they not fabulous? I love them!! They add to our quirky little yard and make me smile.
Hopefully some birds will move into them next year. I do believe that all of our other house have family's in them right now. This was a great way for all of us to spend some time outside and together making.
I hope that you all have a happy creative day.

Spring update
It is finally starting to get a little bit warm here in the northeast. It is taking forever to warm up. So I am just getting motivated to be in the studio. Now that I do not have to wear five sweaters to work. Here are a couple of images from the studio. The top one is from my bench you can that the deck is set up and we have laundry on the line. I love hanging laundry out. It is a great window to work in front of. i can see most of he yard from there. The second picture is my soldering table. It works great and is right behind my bench all I have to do is turn around. you have to have that great working triangle.
I am hoping to have some completed projects for he next post. My mind has been in over drive as I have been designing and planing my next steps and series. I am very excited about it. It is going to be amazing!!

Hancock Shaker Village
A couple of weeks ago, me and my family went to the Hancock Shaker Village in Pittsfield MA. Oh my gosh it was amazing. It was my first time there.
The place was wonderful. The round barn is wonderful, and well it had the baby animals in it also so that was a big attraction. The whole was place was a wonder. The inside of the barn (second picture down) was beautiful. They also had all of these wonderful workshops. I love the basket shop, it look fabulous, and the kitchen was amazing also, I would love to have a space like that that to cook and bake. I am hoping we can go again when all the garden are in full bloom. I can only imagine how beautiful that will be. The trip was very inspiring. I can not to get to work in my own studio. Hopefully it will warm up here in north east. I am starting to have me doubts about hat though it is nearly May and it is still cold out. Craziness! As always thanks for reading!

Spring is finally here!! Or well i hope at least. It has been the never ending winter here in the northeast. My jewelry studio has been to cold to work in this past winter and I am looking forward to getting there not that it has warmed up a little bit. Here are a couple of photos from the studio.
The top of my bench is looking good. I have some big plans for some new work I am so exciting about it. I have been planning and designing all winter. I can not wait to show as it come to.
The top of my bench may look clean and neat but my drawer does not! But that is what happens when you get working you just go. I will have to clean it before the new work begins.
Thanks as always for following along.
Have a fabulous day!

March update
Yesterday was the first day of spring! although we had snow I am hoping that it will all melt soon. I am in need of some nice warm weather, I would like to start planting the gardens. And Quinn is already asking when we can start hiking again. Even he is tired winter.
Anyways here is an update. I am hoping to get into the studio this week!! Finally it took awhile to be get to it after the crazy amount of snow we have here in Massachusetts.
It had no leaks and looks great in there. I am so excited!!
The above photo is of me threaded my vibrating bobbin on my wonderful sewing machine. I was so excited it was the first time I did it with out looking at directions!! Wha hoo!!!
Here is what the quilt is looking like so far. Quinn laid it all out for me it looks amazing. I am homing to finish up the last few squares and get the top all done this next week. I know that I have been saying that but it will happen. I swear! I think it is going to look amazing when it is all done.
And here is Quinn working on his blanket. He love s to be at the machine also. He is making a scrap blanket for our dog Rocco. He is amazing!
Thank you all for always reading. I am hoping in the next update that there will be pics of the studio and the completed top.
